For this exciting and unique event you have the option of running the daytime race, distance of your choice, starting at 9AM, the Moonlight distance of your choice, starting at 6PM
OR

you can be a trail champion and run BOTH of them! We will have something special for those of you who run both events, including a very nice lunch if you choose to hang out with us at the start/finish base camp for the afternoon. If you sign up for both, you can change to whatever distances you feel like on the day of the event.

We have a very firm belief that true trail runners are explorers at heart, and minimalists in many ways. Therefore, our aid stations are self-serve, meaning no little cups! You need to BRING A HYDRATION SYSTEM of your own to fill up. We will provide plenty of Hammer nutrition products for you, sweet & salty snacks, and fruits.

and a signature Desert Dash medal (a.k.a. woodle).

5k course (offered for the night race ONLY) = 3.19 miles
484' elevation gain

10k course = 5.47 miles
808' elevation gain
Where it says start/finish - Caldera lot, this is actually an aid station.

1/2 marathon course

13.44 miles

Elevation Gain: 1,590 ft / Elevation Loss: 1,573 ft
Min Elevation: 2,451 ft / Max Elevation: 3,200 ft

30k course = 1/2 marathon course followed by 10k course

Packet pickup will be held at Red Rock Running Company, the Henderson Store, at

120 S. Green Valley Parkway

Henderson, NV 89012

from 1p-5p on Friday, February 10th. Red Rock Running Company has all your running needs. Pick up some fuel for your run, some sweet running clothes, a hydration system or whatever you might need. You may also pick up your race packets the day of the race at the start/finish area at 7:30a. For those doing the Moonlight run, packets will be available for pick up at 5p.
Please don't wait until the last minute!

We have reserved a shuttle from the Strip to Bootleg Canyon for both start times. The cost is $20 per person, payable to the driver. If you need this service please let us know after you sign up for the event.

Directions to the start:
From Las Vegas head to Boulder City via 93 / 95. As you enter Boulder City, you'll turn left on YUCCA (just past TACO BELL). Follow Yucca straight up across the RR tracks, across Industrial Rd, and past Animal Control. Continue up the road. You'll pass the Bootleg Canyon sign and come to a roundabout. Go half way around the roundabout and turn right on the dirt road, this dirt road runs parallel to the paved River Mtn Trail. Follow this dirt road up the hill to the stop sign where you'll turn left onto a paved road. Please park in the dirt lot on the left. The start/finish is up ahead on the right.
