(Don't let the picture fool you, this is just a portion of a trail out there. Not all the trails look like this or even close. Some are soft and smooth, some have sand, and some are rocky as all heck. But they are all fun!!)

The trails are beautiful, mainly singletrack mountain biking trails although there may be some segments of dirt powerline road but we'll try to keep those to a minimum. All trails are well-defined but these are not paths, they are not paved, there are no streetlights nor other lighting. That being said, headlamps ARE required for this event as it can get pretty dark out there in the desert.  For this nighttime race the trails will be well marked with reflective markers. Your headlamp will be able to pick them out from a great distance away. 

We have a very firm belief that true trail runners are explorers at heart, and minimalists in many ways.  Our aid stations are self-serve, meaning no little cups, you need to BRING A HYDRATION SYSTEM of your own.  There will be plenty of Hammer nutrition products for you, sweets and salty snacks and fruit. 

Don't forget, Desert Dash is a huge fan of The German Shepherd Rescue Las Vegas. Our very own sweet mascot, Century, came from the rescue. We collect dog food donations and/or monetary donations at all of our events if you wish to donate. GSRLV and Desert Dash thank you!

PACKET PICKUP:

Red Rock Running Company will host packet pickup. Dates and times to be determined. Make sure to take a look around the store for any last minute items you might need or for anything on your wish list for future running adventures. They've got all your running necessities and will treat you right! 

Packet pickup will be available onsite on race day.
