Red Rock Canyon 100k COURSE

100k runners will start in front of the Red Rock Visitor Center. Check-in will begin at 6:00am and runners will start promptly at 7:00am.

The first 20 miles will include sections through Calico 1, Sandstone Quarry, Grand Circle Loop, SMYC, Dale's, Knoll, & South Oak Creek before cruising into Blue Diamond. The section of trail between miles 7 and 15 are known as Dream Killer because hopes of a PR might die along this stretch.

After leaving Blue Diamond, runners will make a full loop of Landmine before a tough climb over Hurl, into Black Velvet and finally over to Late Night.

Runners will then travel a few more miles to Red Valley, where they can pick up a pacer before finishing roughly 8 remote miles to Wilson Tank. If you've made it this far, the rest is cake. Simply descend back through Red Valley and Late Night before finishing in Blue Diamond.

After leaving Blue Diamond, runners will make a gnarly ascent up and over Hurl, through a Joshua Tree forest before landing at Black Velvet.

From Black Velvet 50k runners will have a fast few miles across the north side of Landmine to finish back in Blue Diamond!

Due to strict BLM enforcement of group size mandates, we can only accept the first 80 runners who signup. These participants will be guaranteed a spot. All subsequent registrants will be placed on a waitlist and accepted as confirmed runners drop or as more spots are added to the field.
Aid Stations
The aid stations will be positioned between 5.5 and 8.5 miles apart. Aid stations will provide pre-packaged fruits and snacks, plus GU energy gels and hydration mix. Runners can pick up a pacer at mile 43 in Red Valley. We encourage a pacer at this point due to a remote section of the course that will more than likely be traveled later in the day or night.
